As time passes some of the authors that seemed so forward looking in the past now seems like slightly outdated dinosaurs. Writers like Asimov and Heinlein come to mind. They spun amazing tales, but other writers, like Philip K. Dick seem significantly more relevant to our pre-2012 society.
I’ve been writing a lot about Philip K. Dick and his idea of VALIS lately (read about Valis here, here, and here).
In doing some research on VALIS, I stumbled across a wonderful audio gem by another author whose vision of a dystopian society seems as poignent today as Dick’s – Aldous Huxley. I wanted to share this with all my readers. It’s an audio recording of Aldous Huxely reading Brave New World. A rare recording, and a great find online.
