We are in the middle of a Mayan / Aztec Fire Ritual – With Lots of Updates

We are witnessing a Mayan fire ritual being carried out on a planetary scale.  Here’s my phantasmagoric story:

Last night I had trouble sleeping.  Crazy dreams, as usual, but I blame it more on eating a Burger King Whopper for dinner than the weight of any kind of esoteric portend. 

That said, I had been thinking alot about the fires in Oz, and the latest fire in Beijing – as have many of us in the synch-sphere – while I fell asleep.

I had also been reading Daniel Pinchbeck’s latest book, "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl " which touches on the Mayan society, but is more of a sprawling Opus to Occultism than a guide to anything Mayan.  

Yet everytime I pick it up I am swarmed with new revelations.  It’s as though the book itself is a tool to evolve your consciousness as much as it is a book about the evolution of consciousness.

I just started chapter 4 (44?) last night before falling asleep.

I had also been listening to the archived Red Ice interview with John Major Jenkins as an adjunct to the book, and as a way to try and figure out this Mayan Calendar thing once and for all. 

I woke up about 3 ish with a slight stomach ache (again, from Burger King – so delicious/so deadly) and went and laid on our couch until I could fall asleep agaig.  I put the final part of the Jenkin’s Red Ice interview on the ipod and laid back to try and drift off.

He started talking about the Mayanand Aztec New Fire Ritual.   Here’s a quote from Wikipedia:

"The New Fire ceremony (in Nahuatl xiuhmolpilli—the Binding of the Years) was an Aztec ceremony performed once every 52 years — a full cycle of the Aztec calendar— in order to stave off the end of the world."

The account of the ritual we have today, is actually a variation/bastardization of it from the Aztecs in which they used Human Sacrifice to empower power a kind of Blood/Wickerman ritual to ensure control over the future of their civilization.  It’s the ritual everyone thinks of when they think of the Aztecs – probably ala Indiana Jones. 

They practicioner take out the victim’s heart (which is very similar to the Egyptian Death ritual).  Then they BURN THE VICTIM’S BLOOD as way to both honor their deities as well as  ground the society and push it into the future with the favor of the gods behind them.  (I don’t know that much about it, but will be learning alot more about it over the next few days!!!)  The se fires of blood (does blood actually burn?) would also ceremoniously unite the various parts of the Aztec/Mayan Kingdom.

This lead me to think of Australia and Beijing and the fires that had been raging there. 

In my liminal state, I thought, Could this be what’s happening?  A Mayan fire ritual on a planetary scale? A mega-ritual, some might say.

When I wake up, my thinking continued, I must look up recent fires in other world capitals.  My idea was to start with Moscow, then move to London, Brussels, etc.  – looking for some pattern of arson.

That was my last thought upon falling back to sleep.

I woke up this morning, and my wife, who got up before me, says – Top Story on Drudge, there are big fires in Philidelphia (Delphi) – they just arrested a woman. 

What!?!?!?!

I was amazed at the synch and told her the revelation I had last night.  This amazed her, too.

It’s my habit to read for 15 or 20 minutes in the morning to get my brain rolling and have a little buffer between dream world and ‘real’ world.  So I picked up 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl again.

I got one paragraph into the book when I read this quote, on page 190:

"The Aztecs, who inherited their calendar from the Maya, threw a "New Fire" ceremony on these occasions [the changing of cycles on their calendar - thuth], putting out all the fires throughout the land for one night, rekindling them the next day, AND FORGIVING DEBTS.

This is currently what’s happening on a massive planetary scale as the stimulus packages are forgiving the debts of the banks.  Oh yeah, and the fires.

If any of you smarties know more about this ritual than I do (and since I know VERY little about it, I’m sure you’re out there) please comment with insights.  Tell me I’m right, tell me I’m wrong.  Take this idea, borrow it, run with it, and send me links to your thoughts. 

I will be doing some research on it later, but have to actually do some work for clients! So I can’t take it on right now, but I want to post these mini-revelations as they happen and will be continuing down this vein as soon as I have time to start researching it further.

A mildly interesting synch is that in 1957 (52 years ago – remember the 52 year cycle of the New Fire Ritual – the Mad Bomber was caught).
